Lower Findhorn – Water at last!

Posted By Dàibhidh On 25 July, 2010 @ 5:00 pm In Trip Reports | No Comments

Just a quick post to report back on a nice wee paddle down the Lower Findhorn. Finally, after a week of rain, the levels were good and the play waves back after too long! Richard, Jo and I decided to go for a wee potter, expecting low levels, but got a great day out…

The past few months has been pretty scrapy down this bit of river, with a fair few shaving of plastic from the boat left on rocks, but today was great. Good lines at Triple Steps and Corkscrew was excellent, if not a bit of a blurr (only I ran it as the line was a little tricky and the water pushy).

All in all, a nice wee trip out…coming up next month will (hopefully) be a few trips out on the Moriston and preparation for Level 2 Coach training in early September…good times!
