Well, my name’s David and I’m a kayaker based in Inverness, Scotland. I started paddling when I was about 8 back in the 1980s, mainly slalom comptetition-type stuff, then gave up for a few years when I went to uni; I blame rugby and the odd bit of studying!

Now that I’m back into recreational paddling and a bit of coaching, I thought it’d be a good idea to set-up a wee website to share my passion for the sport. Hopefully it’ll provide an interesting read and a useful info point for other paddlesport-minded folk…and perhaps the odd laugh too; at me or with me, it matters not!

While I’ve got a few different ideas about what I’m hoping to get out of the site, and I’m sure these will develop over time, for now, it’s about ‘kayaking’ in general and will include my thoughts on kit, boats, resources, rivers and my paddling experiences.

I also hope to get a few paddling pals on-board to widen the range of views, reviews and experiences, so watch this space for guest appearances.
