This section of the site contains a growing list of equipment reviews, covering boats, kit, paddles and anything else I come across on the river. There’s also the odd paddlesport book review, ranging from biographies to river guides.

All of the reviews are written through my eyes and are our my thoughts alone (or occasionally those of a guest writer); I hope to plug the gap between beginners and advanced paddlers and don’t claim to know it all, but I will try to give you my honest, considered opinions!

That said, at the end of the day, only you can know if you like a bit of kit or not; so if you really want to know how something performs, then beg/borrow/demo it and check it out for yourself!
